But I never intended all this madness, never. And nobody really understood, well how could they? That all I ever wanted was to bring them something great. Why does nothing ever turn out like it should?

But I never intended all this madness, never.
And nobody really understood, well how could they?
That all I ever wanted was to bring them something great.
Why does nothing ever turn out like it should?

Drawing has always been an important part of my life….I haven’t really shown any of this stuff.  I never considered it art or artwork, mainly because it was not meant to be seen.

Tim Burton’s Frankenweenie (2012)

YES. JOY AND ALL THE TEARS.

I’m aware that this is not The Nightmare Before Christmas, but it is Tim Burton and relevant and everyone should see this movie.

waltdisneyconfessions:

“Nightmare Before Christmas is one of my favourite movies, period. However, I sometimes feel like Disney cheapened it quite a bit with its superfluous merchandising. It’s really too bad that this wonderful film has gained the false reputation of being another marketing gimmick for shallow teenagers trying to be “dark” or “edgy”. I try not to let that dictate my enjoyment of the film, but I would still much prefer it if the commercialization never happened.”

Truth to end all truths. I’ve loved this movie since I was 7 years old and when I see 14-16 year olds talk about how it speaks to their goth attitude and makes their dark lives more dark, I die a little. It’s not about being dark or goth, it’s the coming together of two different worlds/cultures/races/whatever and having them accept one another. I love buying TNBC merchandise, but I agree that it has gone so overboard to the point of being upsetting.
